Reviews for STOKKE TRIPP TRAPP® high chair
Sturdy - easy to clean

I am buying my second of these after using our first Tripp Trap for 5 years. Our original still looks great after two children, I wipe it daily with warm water and the finish still looks good. I love that it's easy to clean and there are no cushions to wash or where food can get stuck. My two year old can climb up and it never tips over. The chair isn't inexpensive, but you can easily shell out more money over a few years on high chairs and booster seats that won't last as long.

Well I love the look of this highchair! I hate the traditional ones, they are just so ugly! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I kind of have a problem with paying almost $400 (incl. baby set & cushion) for something so small. I guess I was just expecting more chair for the money. It will grow with my son which is why it's not that big of a deal, but it just looked a lot bigger in the picture some how. Overall I'm really happy with the choice we made. It is great quality, easy to assemble (I'm not good with putting things together and I did it myself in about 15-20 minutes). More importantly my son loves it and loves being up at the table with us at mealtime! I would definitely recommend it!

Excellent Choice

I fell in love with the look of this chair when I was pregnant. I'd already purchased the Stokke crib and love the look, durability and ability to grow with the child that Stokke products have. I bought the Tripp Trapp and it was an excellent choice. Sturdy, stylish, and it will grow with my baby. I love that my daughter can eat at the table and know she's a part of the family. Worth the investment and a great piece of furniture.

I recently purchased a tripp trapp and have been extremely impressed with the quality of the chair. It's easy to assemble, requiring only one tool, and my 10 month old loves sitting in it. Now he sits at the table with us and feels like a part of the family. It's very solid and durable and I can see how people mention their 7 and 8 years are still using their original tripp trapp from when they were a baby. A good investment for sure!

I hate high chairs I think they're useless. I bought this chair when my daughter turned 1. She's now 4 and still uses it. We love it so much that I also bought another for my parents house. This chair truly can grow with your child.

I have two children that need a booster or high chair at the table. After an unfortunate incident involving the loss of all of our household goods, I found myself needing to replace seats for a 4 yo and a 2 you at the table. I chose this chair, and have been extremely pleased with that decision. Sleek design, versatile look (simply change the pad and get a whole new look), this chair combines sensibility with good looks. I really enjoy how it gives the smaller children a place at the table, without needing to find space for a separate, clunky "high chair" in the room. These chairs can simply be stored at the table, and do not look out of place. The way the seat can be tailor made for the size of the child ensures a long life. As a matter of fact, even though the two seats were purchased for the 4 yo and 2 yo, the 6 yo and 9 yo must often be asked to move so the little ones can sit down! Just one note of caution: make sure to read the instructions ALL the way through before putting together. ;-)

TRIPP TRAPP HIGH CHAIR

As a Grandmother I love the Tripp Trapp High Chair. It will grow with my Grandchildren and fits nicely at my Dining Table. The Boys are so happy to finally be eating at the adult table.
The only down side I found was that, as a Grandmother, the chair was a bit difficult to assemble.

Stokke Chair for My 3 Sons
Reviewer: Anonymous , Columbus, Ohio

When my 1st born was 2 we bought him a Tripp Trapp because we were sick and tired of cleaning the dirty high chair and most of all we wanted to include him at our meals. We had seen the chair in action at our friends house. He is 5 now and he still has it and it looks brand new. When his twin brothers came along I knew that as soon as they were big enough and could feed themselves I would do the same. I love this chair, it's so easy to clean, it looks like the rest of the grown-up furniture and best of all they allow the boys to be part of dinner. Easy to put together, adapt to the boys growth, and best of all no hidden old food. One thing I can keep clean with three boys 5 and under!!! It is well worth the price, it will eventually be a desk chair for the boys.

I am very satisfied with the Trip Trap chair and happy that I found it here in America. I am from Germany and it is very popular there so I really wanted to have one and it was not easy to find. It really is a very good highchair because it is very robust what, in my opinion, is so important for babys security. And additionally - it looks very nice too! The ones I saw were plastik and did not seem to be useful for agile babys!

Sitting a little longer
Reviewer: Christine , North New Jersey

We bought the chair thinking that our toddler daughter might sit a little longer at the dinning room table where we have all our meals. I think she does sit a little longer.... she is at the perfect hight and is comfortable. No more knealing or sitting too low. She loves the Chair! The only thing bad is she gets her arm out of the safty straps. The wood we choose looks great with our dinning room furniture. The chair came fast.

My First born is now almost four months old and we both enjoy "the Chair" He still is a little wiggely with his head but we have chair training every day and soon he will be sitting like a king. I knew this was what i wanted the first time i saw it and it just fits in with our home and i know my son will have a great place to sit for a long time. i just fell in love with the sleek scandinavian look. I like that its easy to clean and a space saver and I love that my son will sit with us at the table and learn how to eat in a social setting and not sat aside away from the rest of us.I do really recommend this chair.

We have used these chairs for both of our children, and are looking to get a third for our comming child. The chair grows with the child, and our kids both love to sit in them. Our oldest is 4 and has never asked for another booster or a 'normal' chair. Even the cusions are personalized for each of the kids...I know that you and your child will love the stokke tripp trapp chair as much as we have..

Sleek and functional

I am big into baby stuff that can be used into adulthood so I was thrilled by the idea of a high chair that grew with the child and took a ton of space. The high chair is all that - blends in with the furniture, takes very little space as opposed to the traditional ones, it is truly good looking. It is also very easy to clean. Our main fear is that the baby would wriggle out of the chair and end in the floor. The strap is actually not the best - it tends to slip out of the shoulders and it is a major pain to adjust to size, so our baby ends up being held only by the waist strap. So if you have a very wriggly baby, you may have second thoughts about the chair. On the other hand, he LOVES being pulled up to the table and eat with mom and dad so he usually forgets about trying to get off the chair. It really makes him used to eating at a table with a real chair. And you won't have an ugly, oversized plastic gadget crowding your storage in a couple of years. If you are used to plopping your baby in the high chair with some toys and snacks while you are doing stuff, this chair is not for you either, since it does not have a tray and you can't attach toys.
Finally, you have to put it together - it makes for an afternoon entertainment, but it is no worse than some Ikea furniture I have struggled with.
Personally, I love this chair. The baby seems very comfortable with his foot rest, and sits like a big person. For little ones, definitely get a cushion!

Stokke Tripp Trapp

We bought this chair for our daughter when she was 6 months old. She was already sitting up supported so she was able to start using the chair right away. When we received the chair it only took us maybe 10 minutes to put it together. The chair is solid but it has the slightest wobble in it, almost as though one leg is a tiny bit shorter than the other. But since we are using the chair on a wooden floor we had to put felt on the bottom of it any way, so one side just got an extra layer of felt. I do believe that you absolutely need the baby rail if you baby is just learning to sit, otherwise they will tumble out of the chair. We also purchased the seat cover which looks nice and provides a little extra padding for the baby. I don't know how it will hold up in the laundry though as I haven't washed it yet. The only thing we struggled with was the harness on the chair, it did not really contain our daughter because the straps would continuously fall off of her shoulders. My husband came up with a type of a loop made of velcro that we secured to the back of harness so that the two loops now stay tight on her shoulders. It almost needs a clip like you see on other harnesses such as car seats and bouncy seats. All in all we like the chair very much because it allows our daughter to eat with us at the table as opposed to 2 feet back because there is no tray in the way, and we love the fact that it will grow with her. Her cousins are 7 and 8 years old and they still use their chairs today.
