Our Review of the Zooper Hook-On high chair

The Hook-On High Chair from Zooper is great for family dinners at home or away at a restaurant. The Hook-On High Chair is a great daily high chair if space is tight in your small kitchen. Plus it?s an easy-to attach portable high chair you can take along to the restaurant. The comfy Hook-On High Chair has easy-to wash fabric, and more padding than some of the similar models on the market.

While it doesn't fold as compactly as the Me Too! Portable Chair, the Zooper Hook-On High Chair is still a great choice to toss in the car for road trips, lunch at grandma's house, or a weekend away. The special spring-loaded clamp attachment secures safely and tightly to tables 0.8 inch to 2.8 inches thick. When your child's meal is finished, the quick release mechanism makes it a snap to remove the Hook-On High Chair in seconds.

An expensive disappointment

2
Reviewer: Sharon McKee , Victor, ID Date: April 05, 2007
We bought this for our 8 month old because we don't have the room for a bulky high chair and it is nice for him to sit at the table with us. We don't like this product because it is very hard to clean after every meal. The cloth doesn't wipe down very well and it isn't logical to throw it in the washer after every meal. So don't buy this if you are planning to use it everyday. We do like the restraints and found them quite necessary when we found our baby had managed to put both legs through one leg hole and would have fallen without them. We also don't like the way the chair rests on the table. When the grippers are level with the table and installed like it should be, the seat of the chair itself leans forward rather than being parallel with the ground. Our baby's bottom was constantly sliding forward because of it. Don't buy this unless you would like to be disappointed.

Comments from The Staff:

We talked to Zooper about your review. They said that they that the baby?s comfort was extremely important, and had noticed that so many other similar chairs seemed to be made of vinyl or plastic, which lead to sweating and sticking, and the babies legs and bum would be hurt when sitting in the chair for too long. As the chair is not really intended for everyday use (more of a travel item), they felt that sacrificing an easier cleanup for a happier baby was a fair trade off. Although the chair may tip the child forward a little when seated properly, they feel this encourages baby to learn proper posture as it is impossible to slump and eat in this position. Just so you know, your child should be able to hold herself upright unassisted before use of this chair. Thanks for the review!

Chair Just OK

Reviewer: Tonya , Charlotte, NC Date: March 02, 2007
This chair did not meet our expectations. We love the Graco one but needed a second one for the car (for eating out) and were underwhelmed by this Zooper - even though we love the Zooper products. Our child is very comfortable in it and we like the restraints but it is not easy to attach to/detatch from a table. This chair would be great for a semi-permanent location but I would not recommend for frequent movement (stick to the Graco for that).

We are very satisfied with our purchase. We like to be able to sit at the table with our 9 month old. We use it daily. It is stable and our baby comfortably sits in it. Only drawback is that the table gets pretty messy without a tray for him to bugger up.
