Speesees founder Rachel Pearson is committed to sustainability. All of the buttery soft children's products that Speesees offers are produced with organic Indian cotton, and sewn under Fair Trade Practices and Principles in a small village in southern India. Rachel's signature design work combines animal images with the phonetic spelling of the animal's name. Her intention is to raise awareness about all animal "speesees" whose environments are being depleted by creating organic children's products that promote environmental |
sustainability and humane labor practices. The entire process under which Speesees goods are produced is designed to be kind to the environment and fair to the people who make them. Rachel has even taken the step of donating a percentage of all Speesees profits toward a fund that purchases school supplies for the children of the village. |
