Be Careful

We have trouble pulling the tray in and out and so far, my husband, mother and I have been injured by the bar holding the tray and the screws in underneath the tray. It really smarts. The belt does not really hold child and my daughter climbs out all the time. It easy clean which why we go with wood, but this is not the right one for us.

Sturdy but over priced

We bought it because of the design and durability. The pad was a good purchase because it does need it. The tray kind of gets stuck because of the wood. (especially after a wash...) Overall we still like the chair but it is over priced.

Is tray worth it?

Chair looks great and is wooden, not plastic. Tray is difficult to move in and out so we mostly keep it fixed. The arms don't quite tuck under our table so not as useful as my 15 month old gets older. I had really wanted the tray but maybe the Stokke would be easier now she is bigger? Pad was useless and too bulky, just use a blanket behind head if your baby is tiny.

Nice to look at but not functional

We bought this high chair because we liked how it looked and thought it would be nice to use when our baby was a toddler. It has not been easy to use. The tray is very hard if not impossible to pull in and out without unscrewing it totally. My son started climbing out of it once he was 8 months old. The lap belt is worthless I would recommend getting a regular highchair or (another brand) if you want a nice looking chair for your toddler[The reason we had to get a different high chair for my 2nd is because he kept pushing himself away from the table]

We purchased this chair because we wanted a modern chair with a tray and liked the styling of this one the best. It assembled very easily and seems very sturdy.

Nice chair but needs the pad

Chair was easy to assemble but was missing a chunk of wood along the groove where tray slides in and out, leaving a splintery gash about 1" long. This did not seem to prevent the tray from sliding in and out and the thought of trying to get it all back in the box was too daunting so we are just living with it. I went with this model over the Stokke because I really wanted a tray, but the tray is a pain to use. The tray size is nice but is not easy to adjust and requires two hands (it screws on and off) so you can't just loosen it with one hand and lift the child out. Also, the lip that keeps everything on the tray does not extend all the way around so we do end up with cheerios, etc on the floor. I ordered this chair 10 weeks ago and I am STILL waiting for the pad which is on backorder. Without the pad the chair seat is slippery and because the backrest is quite high my 8 month old daughter bangs her head on it a least once every mealtime. The design is a nice balance of modern and traditional, and I love the lime green, but I have to say that I am not 100% thrilled.
Comments from The Staff:
Really sorry on the back order. These come from Germany, and have been held up for a while. Thanks for the comments.

Perfect!

It's the perfect high chair. We got it when our son was 6 months (he's a big guy, though). It is extremely sturdy, easy to clean, nice to look at and not huge. It has a nice size tray w/ a little rim. The only thing maybe is that the tray isn't easy to remove, but it wasn't a problem for us as we never remove it. We just slide the baby in and secure him with the strap. I would recommend getting the
little cushion as well.

Attractive and Functional High Chair

While this chair is more costly than many of the more popular chairs on the market, it also is much more attractive, and it has several features where the others fall short. No, it doesn't roll back and forth, or fold, like the plastic chairs...but you have to determine what's important to you. For us, it was important to have a chair where the tray is at the right height and distance away from our child. She's been sitting in this high chair since she was 5 months and has always enjoyed mealtime. Additionally, our daughter is always sitting up straight - she is not reclined in her chair. This chair ensures proper posture and comfort by the form of the seat, and the footrest. Our daughter is not large, so we have not had to adjust it yet, but we are also pleased that the chair will grow with her. After a meal, I simply wipe it down with a wet cloth. We purchased the seat cover also (the red/orange polka dots to do with the natural/red chair...very fun looking pattern), and I wash it weekly - or more if needed. It still looks new after 5 months of weekly washing. Overall, we are very happy with our Geuther Family High Chair and would recommend it to anyone who finds both function and form important.

Geuther - Classic Design and Function

I LOVE the clean lines of this chair. Coupled with the bright striped cover, it is wonderful to look at and beats the pants off any plastic highchair. No ugly plastic tray, no plastic at all. Such a welcome relief from the plastic that prevails the infant/baby market. My baby started in this at about 4 months and we affixed the suction toys to the tray when we were dining so she could "join". Now we feed her off the table w/o the wood tray at the same time as we eat. The wood tray was troublesome to adjust but that is the only negative. The cover is easy to wash and worth the money - very high quality and CUSHIE!!!
